Keyboard and page navigation

Use the skip link at the start of each page to move to the main content. Navigation links and native disclosure controls can be reached with a keyboard. The mobile menu opens through its labeled Menu control. Article contents links move to headings with space below the sticky header.

Motion and visual presentation

The homepage flag ribbon has a persistent pause and play control. It also pauses while the pointer or keyboard focus is within the ribbon. A reduced-motion preference stops the animation and presents the country links as a wrapping list. Country names remain available independently of flag emoji.

Reading and printing

Pages use structured headings and resizable text. The travel-planning page includes a reading checklist; your browser’s print command can print it and the article pages. The site does not require JavaScript to read content, open menus, or use disclosure sections.

Images and flags

Meaningful article illustrations include text alternatives. Decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology where appropriate. Emoji appearance can differ by device, so labels do not rely on a flag or picture alone.
